CUPE Local 1011 represents; custodial staff in the Halton District School Board Schools and members of the 57,000 education workers in the Province of Ontario
For our members, maintaining A+ clean, safe schools is a career.
Every time a student walks into a clean classroom, every time a teacher begins their day in a safe environment, parents can rest easy knowing their child is in a safe and well-maintained building, that is the direct result of our dedication.
We continue our work to ensure that every student, from kindergarten to grade 12, has a space that is safe and clean. We do this work because we care—for our students, for our community, and for each other.
Being a school custodian means:
- Being the eyes and ears of the school, we know who belongs on school property and who doesn’t
- Maintaining clean classrooms, hallways and grounds
- Ensuring that drinking water is fresh and clean
- Helping to prevent the spread of viruses and other illnesses
- Repairing broken windows, loose tiles and many other problems within the school
- Keeping grounds clean and safe
- Caring for our community.
We are proud of our role in Halton District School Board schools.
